Creating an audio composition from visitors drawings
The Leave A Mark project was started in Barcelona. For the duration of Sonar 2010, visitors were invited to leave their marks around Sonar by Day. Further collections will take place in other capital cities over the next year. When all marks are collected they are processed and data is extracted to create an audio release.

Drawing boards were posted in the streets surrounding the MAC BA, Sonar by Day festival area so all could leave their mark. Below are some of the completed boards in no particular order. If you would like to view the original page with each days postings go to experimenter.eu/sonar.htm

Chalk marks
EEC marks too, but on the pavement. The below photos show a selection of genome maps drawn on the ground surrounding the MAC BA, to represent musical excerpts, phrases or entire compositions.
