Patterns from nature
A project that transforms a typical London house using weather patterns. A one year construction and structure-heavy build, that takes its evolving ambience from the elements generative processes. Precipitation, wind, and natural light are used to transform internal surfaces, sounds and our perception of the space. The Outside Inside installation forms an evolving audio-visual display of nature that is focused and twisted but always syncopated.

Single element incandescent bulbs focus precipitation falling on a 24m2 glass roof, in-turn projecting the natural patterns formed onto surrounding surfaces. Microphones are placed outside and also fixed to the inside face of the glass to pick up the sound of the elements. Sound is then processed using a variety of generative synthesisers and output back to the space in real-time.
